POVIDONE IODINE SOLUTION IP

PVPI 5% is a dark brown yellow coloured antiseptic solution suited for pre and  post surgical antisepsis.

Composition :

Povidone - Iodine I.P. 5% w/v

(Equivalent to 0.5% Iodine)

Contact Time :

30 seconds to 2 minutes

Application : 

Pre and post-surgical skin antisepsis, prophylactic casualty procedure, against infections of burns, lacerations and abrasion. Treatment of bacterial and mycotic skin infections. Protective antiseptic film under dressing, bandages and plaster casts.

Directions for use:

Use undiluted. Apply directly to skin. Allow to dry prior to application of dressing, drape or cast. Contraindicated in case of known iodine sensitivity.
